It’s worth the additional cost.

I got this Borla 60548 as one of Phoenix’s “scratch and dent” specials that was in “Very Good” condition and it was. The packaging was where the real damage was. The X-pipe itself was pristine…!I included pictures of the first X-pipe I purchased which was one of those deals from a popular exhaust manufacturer that cost more than other similarly cheaply made X-pipes, but surely doesn’t do a better job or even a good job at all. What I ended up with using that old X-pipe was probably exhaust turbulence, some restriction and a muddy exhaust note that only got that good kind of raspy in the upper RPM. It was only marginally better than if I just used an H-pipe or maybe worse (who knows for sure). With the Borla 60548 I got a smoother, but more melodic exhaust note that gets appropriately raspy, as the revs pick up.Engine/throttle response is noticeably better (it was better than stock with other X-pipe, as well, but this is a clear step even above that) and the volume level hasn’t changed, but the character of the exhaust sound has. My car now sounds much more “tuned up”.This particular X-pipe is designed for the Corvette, but I installed it on my twin-turbo V8 BMW X5 after cutting about 12 inches off from the point where the two pipes begin to flare out.Borla does sell this X-pipe in a shorter (roughly 24″) version with that flared section not included for universal applications, as well, but I only became aware of that AFTER this arrived and the shape of the X-pipe and my cars exhaust were nearly compatible, but I had to do some minor cutting and welding work to make it all fit properly.Even at full price, this is a very worthwhile purchase…!

Great fit!
I loved the way it fit! However, had to make some cuts to fit into place.

Exceeded my expectations. Since the design and dimensions were very similar between the Borla X-pipe and OEM X-pipe, the mechanic and I didn’t expect much in the HP and sound departments. My intent was, if anything, to possibly get a different tone to separate myself from another identical Z51. However, to my surprise, not only did the sound increase between 10-15%, it sounded a lot fuller and deeper. One thing though, it did shift the hp power band a bit. The car does feel a slight more powerful, but not HP band shifted upwards. It takes a little longer to pin the needle on the HP gauge to 465 hp. It used to do it a little faster…that’s all. The car feels quicker in the 1/4 mile though. Once you go past 3000rpm, the car roars with authority and certainty. I have two Ferraris parked in my apartment’s parking garage, and the Ferraris can’t even come close to the exhaust note the Z51 produces.

Borla fit and function
Fit and function were great, but the X pipe area was terribly mismatched. This does not discourage me from buying other items from Borla

This item was a great choice fir my Corvette. It woke the standard sound up a few notches to make heads turn. A must get!

Does not fit a convertible
Was told this fit my Corvette C7 convertible, it does not. Probably will fit a hard top.

Does NOT REMOVE THE SECOND SET OF CATS LIKE A NORMAL X PIPE DOES!!!!!!!
Amazon only tells the half truth! Why?? THEY ARE NOT CAR GUYS! Talked to the BORLA company and told me amazon screwed me. Anyone knows a real x pipe deletes the secondary cats on your car. My z06 still has em all. So I paid 329 for the pipe and 400 something for install. Little high bc the Bolts were frozen. Anyway pipe was not what it was suppose to be. It actually is IDENTICAL to the one on my car from the factory. According to BORLA. Guys if you want your cats removed from the back THIS IS NOT YOUR PIPE!!! Good luck

It most certainly fits my C7 even though Amazon said it didn’t.
If I hadn’t checked the model number I would have passed on this but it was for my C7. Amazon fit said it wasn’t. Sounds great! Idle seems a little louder but it really comes alive in the higher RPM’s. I already had the Borla S Type axel back. Paired up nicely.
